  • After completing payment at checkout, you will receive a confirmation email containing your invoice.
  • Please include your chosen payment method on the order form.
  • Place your Garmin device, along with the printed invoice or order number, into a secure box or jiffy bag.
  • Use the address provided on the invoice to send your Garmin to us.
  • Please send only the Garmin unit itself unless you require inspection of additional equipment.
  • Postage costs are based on weight. We recommend using Signed For or Special Delivery to ensure safe and reliable delivery.
  • Once we receive your device, our engineers will begin the repair process.
  • If additional or different services are required, we will notify you by email.
  • Additional charges may apply, and you will receive a new invoice with a payment link if rework is needed.
  • After the repair process is completed, your device will be returned to you.

Answer: The repair turnaround time is generally expedited typically ranging from 5 to 15 business days following receipt of the device. In many cases repairs are completed and dispatched within 2 to 5 days of receipt. However, please note that some devices may require a longer time for thorough testing to ensure everything is functioning correctly. Even tasks that seem straightforward, like changing a battery, may require additional preparation and finishing touches to ensure optimal performance. Therefore, additional time may be needed in such cases. Rest assured, we prioritize both efficiency and quality in all our repair services.

Please note that additional time may be required for high-priority items as well.

We are committed to providing the best service possible. When we receive your watch, we will first attempt to repair it to the best of our ability. The repair turnaround time is generally expedited, typically ranging from 5 to 15 business days following receipt of your device. In many cases, repairs are completed and dispatched within 2 to 5 days of receipt. However, please be aware that additional time may be required if necessary parts are unavailable or if further testing is deemed necessary. We will notify you if this happens and provide an updated timeline for completion.

In some cases, certain models or brands of watches may be more difficult to repair due to their design or age. For example, some watches are glued together or designed by the manufacturer as non-battery-replaceable. In these cases, we will take all reasonable care during the repair, but please be aware that damage can sometimes occur, particularly when repairing the screen or other delicate components. This is due to the difficulty of disassembling the watch without causing any harm.

If, during the repair process, we discover any additional issues with your watch, we will inform you promptly, along with an estimate of the cost to fix these issues. You will have the option to approve or decline any additional repairs before we proceed.

We aim to fulfill our contractual obligations within 30 days, unless otherwise agreed with you in writing. If, after assessment, your watch is deemed non-repairable, we will return it to you and issue a refund, minus an administration fee and the cost of postage. The administration fee helps cover the costs of payment processing, accounting, and general administrative work related to your repair request.

For customers who select our High Priority Repair Service, a fee of £10 will be charged. Please note, this fee is non-refundable, even if the watch is ultimately deemed non-repairable.

Please note that in some cases, if a watch is deemed non-repairable, it may not be returned in its original condition. For example, if the battery is damaged or swollen, it may no longer be safe or possible to return the watch in the same state it was received.

If you decide not to have your watch returned, and instead would prefer us to dispose of it, we will provide a full refund for the repair service. The watch will be disposed of at our cost, and you will not be charged any administration or postage fees.

We aim to process all assessments and refunds within 14 days of receiving your watch. If we are unable to repair your watch, we will notify you promptly and ensure you are informed every step of the way.

Our policy is fully compliant with UK consumer rights regulations, and we are dedicated to transparency and clear communication throughout the process.

Right to Cancel & Cancellation Fee

In compliance with UK consumer rights, you have the right to cancel your order for repair within 14 days of placing the order, as long as we haven’t started the repair work yet. If the repair work has already begun, cancellation may still be possible but will be subject to a cancellation fee.

If you decide to cancel your repair order after it has been placed, an administration fee may apply. This is due to the costs associated with payment processing fees, parts ordering, or any preliminary work done before cancellation. The amount of the administration fee will be communicated at the time of cancellation.

Once the repair process is completed or has started, the return postage to you is included in the service. If the repair is cancelled after it has started, you may be responsible for the cost of parts ordered or labor already completed.

Postage Costs: The customer is responsible for the postage costs of sending the device to us. Return postage after the repair is completed will be covered by us.

Answer: Our services are available exclusively to residents of the UK and Northern Ireland. Customers are responsible for covering the cost of postage when sending their devices to us, as well as the return postage. Please note that when we return your parcel, it is collected from our workshop. This means it will be dispatched on the next working day. This collection and dispatch process also applies to parcels sent via Special Delivery. We ensure that each parcel is handled with care and efficiency to guarantee a timely and safe return to you.

Answer: At Satnav Specialist Ltd., our in-house engineers are highly skilled and boast a very high success rate in repairing a wide range of devices. However, there are occasions when the damage may be more extensive than initially anticipated, or the device may be beyond repair.

If we determine that your device cannot be repaired, or if the repair cost is deemed too high, we will contact you and return the device using your chosen postal service. We will also issue a refund for any payments made to us.

This refund excludes the cost of returning the device, a £4.99 handling fee, and the £10 High Priority Repair Fee (where applicable). If you choose not to have your device returned and request that we dispose of the item, you will receive a full refund, minus the £10 High Priority Repair Fee (where applicable).

We are committed to maintaining transparency and ensuring that our customers are fully informed and satisfied with our services.

This amount encompasses the charges for both the repair services and the return postage to your specified address using your chosen postal service. Additionally, please be aware that you are responsible for the postage costs when sending your device to us. We aim to provide transparent pricing to ensure you have a clear understanding of the costs involved in having your device repaired and returned to you efficiently.

Answer: We offer multiple convenient payment options to cater to your needs. You can pay online using a credit or debit card, or through your PayPal account. Additionally, we accept postal orders and cheques made payable to Satnav Specialist Ltd. However, please note that when paying by cheque or postal order, there will be a waiting period for the cheque to clear before we can proceed with the repair. Cash payments are also accepted when the device is dropped off and collected in person. Our aim is to provide flexible and hassle-free payment methods to ensure your experience is as smooth as possible.
